In this blogpost, we’re bringing together 10 amazing things to do in London to suit a variety of budgets, to get you in the Christmas spirit, so you can worry less about your purse-strings and more about having a good time!
Go Christmas-Tree Spotting!🎄
It’s no secret that London goes ALL out for Christmas, transforming most of the touristy hotspots into sparkly, magical little wonderlands of their own, usually with a giant, over-the-top-but-beautiful Christmas tree at the core.
There are the obvious ones like the iconic Trafalgar Square Christmas tree, but be sure to go on the hunt around other areas in Central London too, such as Covent Garden (the trees there were GORGEOUS last year!). Somerset House and the V&A Museum’s trees never fail to disappoint either.

Check out Regent Street’s Ultimate Christmas Lights and Decorations
Regent Street was the first ever central London location to showcase Christmas lights, back in 1954. Since then, it has been renowned for its spectacular light displays during the festive season.
This years Christmas lights have been named ‘The Spirit of Christmas’, touching upon the history of the street and highlighting British design and craftsmanship. Taking inspiration from Regent Street’s first ever Christmas lights scheme which featured many traditional angels positioned as if playing trumpets; this years scheme is a dramatic re-interpretation of those lights, boasting many ‘spirits’ soaring along the length of the street.
