Fancy a cold one on the canal? Working or renting in Kings Cross? Inspired by its period features, the lively canal side, and transient barges, Granary square is now home to a new beer garden slash gastro lounge which opened it’s coyly landscaped terraces in spring 2016. Their menu invites you to try seasonal and sustainably sourced delicacies alongside your lager. If it’s a weekend get-together or mid-week session, this is the place to be.

Formerly known as Roofnic, Notch is now ready to welcome you into Summer 2016! Doors just opened in May, this serene spot in Mayfair is preparing to be the new after-office-hours playground for professionals looking to relax and mingle. They’ve really taken their cocktail menu up a notch… pun intended ;) But seriously, you have to try Uncle Wray’s Slushie Rum Punch on a hot day, and we think the girls will love a Kool Aid with its flowery mix of gin, elderflower, lavender, apple and lemon!

We love Shoreditch… but who doesn’t? The chicest place to be this summer is this pad in the East – with chilled vibes and a healthy mix of unwinding professionals and swaggy hipsters. The theme changes twice a year, so you’ll always be surrounded by something fresh. Where else do you know that serves up delectable cocktails AND good ol’ fashion floats with a twist? If your pick is not on the list, just ask them and they’ll whip it up. Simple.
Address: 1 Westgate Street, Hackney, London E8 3RL

While you’re in Hackney, why not stop by this pop-up bar Netil360 in nearby Dalston? It has recently been given the OK to open every day too, and as well as offering workspaces for start-ups, an art gallery and a café, this place has a sun-drenched rooftop terrace to get social after a long day at the office/workspace :) We like the alcoholic lollies from Poptails which add a twist to the traditional lunchbox. This is an afternoon/early evening hangout.

Off the beaten track, this charming gastro pub is a gem to plan ahead for –make sure you make your booking well in advance! Nestled comfortably in N1 off Upper Street in Islington, the Albion is a lush forest-like Georgian paradise. Draped in wisteria with an off-street garden bar out back, the Albion can be reached by foot from Highbury and Islington or Angel tube stations. This is our favourite spot for a homemade Aperol Spritz, and even some of the best pub food in the borough.
Address: 336-337 Strand, London WC2R 1HA
Boasting London views atop of the 10th floor of ME London, you can stop by throughout the day till 2AM (Thursday – Saturday). When you muddle up cocktails, skyscrapers, a few rays, tapas, and music, you get Radio Rooftop Bar. This is the perfect spot to enjoy the cityscape whilst winding down in the week, or brunching on the weekend. We like that it’s the only rooftop bar in the area, so you’re bound to get a good crowd from the Strand and Aldwych.
Address: 41 Jews Row, Wandsworth, London SW18 1TB

Thinking of renting in Wandsworth? Who doesn’t love having a local beer garden by the river at hand? Dating way back to 1786, this gastro pub is a stone’s throw away from the Thames, just outside the bustling vibes of the city centre. Best for all-day sessions, our favourites here are the laid-back atmosphere, the buzzing energy by the water, and the homely dishes. They serve up an exclusive selection of the freshest craft beers and bubbles, so why not try one alongside a chargrilled beef burger with cheese or freshly battered cod, crushed peas and hand cut chips? Perfect for a Sunday tipple!

Not one. Not two. But several rooftop terraces to frolic and bask in the summer sun. Madison transports you to a tranquil oasis, with a Mediterranean feel and juicy popping cocktails to tickle your taste buds. We love that St Paul’s pops up for cheeky photo bomb, and that there are plenty of couches for groupies to reserve! Serving without doubt one of the best Pornstar Martinis in London, Madison is a true statement location and is open throughout the week for serious socialites.

Stunning views whilst cocktailing from Regent street? Yes please! If you fancy a posh cocktail post-shopping, or a relaxing view of the sunset from right in the middle of London, then look no further. With fresh DJs every weekend and some of the best cocktails in the capital, Aqua Spirit brings elegance, energy, and exclusivity – first in, first serve though – there are no reservations for the rooftop terrace! Our top pick from the cocktail menu is Fuji Crusta – a sumptuously flirty blend of Cîroc vodka, pear purée, pear liqueur and a spritz of lime…

A hop, skip and a jump from the Heath – an ancient green space and hot weekend picnic spot, crawling with students, young professionals, dogs and families. Their monthly rotation of gastro goodness never disappoints, and you can be sure their selection of craft and draft beers will be a fresh cleanser to the palate. Not a beer drinker? Perhaps a Bloody Mary on the rocks could spice up your afternoon (or evening!) and all without your wallet breaking a sweat. They rock a Sunday roast and are so close to Hampstead Heath station that home is never too far away, even if you continue to burn well after the BBQ.
