Wonderful Wimbledon in South West London is mostly known for its wandering Wombles and annual Tennis Tournament, but did you know they've got a pretty strong dining scene too? We've got 15 of the best Wimbledon restaurants for you to check out right here!

While admittedly SW19 isn't the first (or second, or third...) place that comes to mind when thinking of good gastro spots in the city, the affluent locals and annual influx of tourists has led to a growing selection of great restaurants here, from casual Lebanese cafes to elaborate dining rooms in a Georgian country house.

Check out our selection of the best restaurants in Wimbledon, and give the area a chance next time you're hunting for a dinner destination.

This innovative Danish mini-chain arrived in Wimbledon a few years ago, bringing tasty sushi and yakatori skewers (hence the 'sticks') to the people of SW19. The menu is packed full of handrolls, sashimi, maki and nigiri, while the cavernous, modern interior makes it perfect for big groups of friends looking for a Japanese feast.
