Brasserie Zedel on Sherwood Street is the ultimate date spot if you're looking to impress on a budget - while the glamorous restaurant is filled with chandeliers, marble and gilt-framed mirrors, the classic French brasserie menu is surprisingly good value with three courses for just £11.75!

Take a trip to Peru with Ceviche on Frith Street, the restaurant that launched the Peruvian food trend in London back in 2012. This cool, colourful venue specialises in delicious ceviche dishes, superfood salads, grilled meat skewers and boozy pisco sours. Owner Martin Morales is now opening another Ceviche on Old Street, so you'll soon be able to get your raw fish fix in East London too!

Ever been in a restaurant and thought "if only they had a Press for Champagne button"? Probably not, but the glitzy Bob Bob Ricard have provided one for you just in case. This upscale restaurant serves a Modern British menu in Art Deco surroundings with dishes such as grilled oysters, pork belly and Alverta caviar, and naturally, oodles of champagne.

While Soho and neighbouring Chinatown aren't short of good noodle spots, ramen restaurant Bone Daddies wins our vote every time with their warming Japanese ramen noodles, crispy toppings and sushi snacks. The brains behind Bone Daddies have recently expanded to Flesh and Buns and Shackfuyu too, so make sure to check them out if you like the sound of this place!

Established by famed chef Bobby Chinn, House of Ho is one of Soho's most popular modern Vietnamese restaurants, with a tasty range of sharing plates, pho noodle soups, summer rolls and fruity cocktails. If you're nearby on the weekend, make sure to try out their all-you-can-eat (and drink) brunch - though don't expect to be hungry for at least two days after!

Michelin-starred Hakkasan has been the high-end Cantonese restaurant of choice for discerning Soho diners for years with their delicate dim sum and signature cocktails. The atmosphere is dark and moody and the prices are a tad on the high side, but you're guaranteed a memorable meal here.

We already reckon it's one of the best places to eat in London, so it's no surprise that cool, quirky Sketch made it into our best restaurants in Soho. Cosy, modern Spanish Tapas bar Barrafina is regularly touted as the best spot in the city for traditional tapas, and we can't help but agree. The wide range of small plates includes Ibérico ham, octopus with capers and courgette flowers, all of which are perfectly washed down with a fine Spanish sherry.

Quiet and subtle, 10 Greek Street has been a foodie secret for years with their delicious modern menu, extensive wine list and relaxed decor. All the dishes are seasonal, so you can expect only the finest ingredients in your Cornish crab with blood orange, fennel & chilli, crumbed sweetbreads and chocolate & macadamia torte. They don't take reservations for dinner though, so expect to queue if you want a table!
