Join a community of 249 well-presented homes at Union Wharf in Deptford Creek, which you’ll find on the banks of Greenwich. Brought to you by Essential Living, Union Wharf opened in 2019 and provides riverside vibes that take their cue from Greenwich’s maritime history.

Comprising two towers, Union Wharf is all about the community with its concierge services and social spaces that include an on-site gym. Throw in the regular community events, and it’s easy to see why Essential Living is setting new trends along Deptford Creek.

Union Wharf on a map

Located in Greenwich, one of South London’s primary hotspots, Union Wharf enjoys a desirable location. It’s just a six-minute walk to Cutty Sark DLR station, which has direct services to Bank, and an eight-minute walk to Greenwich train station. Residents can walk to Greenwich Park in 15 minutes, while the O2 Arena is just under three miles away.

The homes at Union Wharf

Union Wharf offers a selection of one, two and three-bedroom homes to choose from. Spaces are designed for sharers and families, with one of the towers focused on catering to the lifestyles of vibrant renters; the other has been designed specifically with families in mind.

Homes are sleek and stylish – just what you’d come to expect from a premium Build-to-Rent operator like Essential Living – and feature designer furnishings and large windows that maximise natural light.

Kitchen appliances are integrated, forming part of an open plan reception room that feels spacious. The bedrooms feature king-size beds with under-bed storage and built-in wardrobes, so you’ll never be short on storage space. Apartments come with either a shower and bath or walk-in shower.

There’s no need to leave the building to get – or stay – in shape at Union Wharf. Hit the on-site gym and watch your heart rate increase, whether you’re a speedster on the cardio machine or pumping some iron with the free weights.

There’s no need to feel like your work and home life have submerged into one, thanks to an on-site working space where you can keep it professional. Whether you’re a creative or punching the numbers, the workspace will more than satisfy your needs.

Roof terrace

Union Wharf has a few social spaces, but our favourite is a roof terrace where you can get to know your neighbours while someone cooks up a storm on the barbecue. Soak in views of the capital as you take five and chill on the roof terrace.

Open space lovers 🌳

Greenwich Park is one of London’s favourite open spaces, and living in Union Wharf puts you within walking distance. You can also explore the markets and cultural attractions in Greenwich, a prime London hotspot that offers a peaceful way of life and plenty of green spaces.

What renters love

“We have been here for just over a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed it! The concierge team are always so quick to help with any problems and always happy to do so. Angie has been so helpful and always a happy face! The rooftop communal area is a lovely space to enjoy, especially whilst working from home. Overall, a great place to rent in Greenwich!"

“After 5 years of living in London, Union Wharf finally feels like home for me and my son!! My son was born here in London and I am originally from California so it was a dream to find UW and a building with all the amenities, easy access to everything and it is always super clean! We have amazing rooftops with stellar views which have BBQs, lounges where you can WFH or have some wine and cheese. There is a pool table in one building and large areas to hire out for private events.

"No one usually mentions it but there is also great selections of different books to read in the common areas – even cookbooks in the kitchen. I love the fact that Essential Living/Union Wharf thought of everything as they even have a guest apartment that can be rented out for people from out of town at a very reasonable price. I do not use the gym but they have that too along with classes and social events which makes the community come together and get to know the neighbours.

They are a young development and there will always be teething issues along the way. Overall it is a great place to live as I feel safe and that they are always looking out for their renters best interests. They also LOVE pets! Lastly- they have the best team at reception who help with EVERYTHING!! I can never thank them enough. Thanks Essential Living, we love living here!!"
